The recent release of the tablet version has created a few changes in the way that you will use MRX on a tablet and on a laptop or desktop. Please review the updates below so that you can make a smooth transition.
Multi Check box
Utilize the multi check box to select multiple rows in most grids. This allows you to select multiple students, school terms, and areas on many screens. It will save you a LOT of time. Check this box in the blue footer when you log in. When using MRX on a desktop or laptop, you may still use the multi check box, but can also use the Control key (or Command key on a Mac) to make multiple selections.
Drag and Drop Symbol
You will also see a box to the left of many fields. This indicates that you can drag and drop this row to create assignments or re-sequence items. Place your finger directly on this symbol to drag and drop. Release your finger when the black indicator line is in the correct spot.
iPad Features Coming
There are a few features missing for iPad users. We wanted to offer you the record keeping features as soon as possible. We are working on these updates and hope to have them to you soon. But for now, the following features are not available on an iPad:
- – Viewing videos in the Medial Library or Student Media screens
- – Uploading student videos or photos on the Student Media screens
- – Uploading album pages or worksheets on the Manage Lessons screen
Looking to Buy a New Tablet?
*Note* During our testing, we found that several new tablets are not optimized for the MRX Tablet version. In other words, if you are in the market for a new tablet and hope to use MRX, please avoid any tablet with an Intel ATOM processor. You will see this as part of the device specifications. (this only matters for Android tablets)
